Merge existing page onto new page, scaling and offsetting accordingly Var scaling = Math.min(widthScaling, heightScaling) Var heightScaling = newRect.top/jobRect.top Var widthScaling = newRect.right/jobRect.right JobPDF.Open(Watch.GetJobFileName(),false) Var jobRect = new ActiveXObject("AlambicEdit.PdfRect") When you print, the document is already formatted to fit the paper size you selected. In apps such as Pages or Microsoft Word, you can also specify a page size for a document as you’re working on it. Choose a paper size from the Paper Size pop-up menu. Var newRect = new ActiveXObject("AlambicEdit.PdfRect") With a document open on your Mac, choose File > Print. Still, it should help get you started if you want to implement this with Workflow: var newPDF = Watch.GetPDFEditObject() Shrink To Printable Area Resizes only large pages to fit the paper and prints small pages as they are. From the Page Scaling pop-up menu, select one of the following options: Fit To Printable Area Scales small pages up and large pages down to fit the paper. In this example, it maps the current job file (which is presumed to be a PDF) onto a newly created A3 page. Acrobat can size the pages of a PDF to fit the selected paper size. Compress PDF files Reduce file size while optimizing for maximal PDF quality. Compress or optimize PDF files online, easily and free. The following code does that, but be advised that it’s just something I had in my collection of scripts and that it may not do exactly what you want. Compress PDF file to get the same PDF quality but less filesize. Not sure about creating page sizes dynamically (I will leave that part to Design experts), but in Workflow you can script a method that scales and centers a page onto a different media.
