They're VERY good, probably the best I've seen in a free game, but don't expect them to excell in complex modes like CTF or Capture. There's also simple bunny hopping and no strafe jumping. There's NO FALL DAMAGE, and it's intentional. This lack of weapons may seem bad, but it actually simplifies the gameplay. Your fist, a pisol, a shotgun(my favourite), a rifle(pretty much a sniper), a minigun, a rocket launcher, a grenade launcher and a chainsaw. There are 8 weapons in Cube 2: Sauerbraten. Many fanous maps are included with a Sauerbraten-flavored twist(like de_dust2, ctf_face etc.) This game has over 250 maps!(or is it 300+? idk, I'll have to check) Every map is distinct, but you may find some recurring themes. Music is purely subjective, so everyone's experience will be different, but I personally think the music is OK. The game has a pretty standard metal-themed soundtrack. But we're not really interested in that, are we? Well, at a fairly good-looking configuration, my Dual-core Intel G2020 with 2GB RAM and Intel Ivy Bridge integrated graphics can run the game at 100+ FPS!! The game has very little screen tearing even with vsync off, too. There's plenty of graphics options that you can tweak, and on max settings, the game looks very modern. Thanks to the game being fantasy-themed and having a distinct artstyle, Cube 2: Sauerbraten looks very nice. There's even 2 different complete RPG maps, which function properly. In addition, There's a campaign and a Deathmatch style singleplayer where you fight monsters. InstaGib(One-hit kill) Regen(Regenerating health) Efficiency(You start with a random weapon and so you'll have to adapt your playstyle constantly)Īll Multiplayer modes are available offline with complete bot support.
